The Covington County Quilters Guild held its first retreat at the Blue Lake Methodist Camp near Andalusia, Alabama.
The Retreat Committee, Jane Barber, Bobby Bagley and Maribel Brown made arrangements for lodging and planned menus for the weekend.
The guild members were instructed to bring their own bedding (pillow, blanket, sheets or sleeping bag plus towels.)
Members also brought their sewing/quilting projects to work on during the weekend.
Guild members began to arrive at Blue Lake after lunch on Friday and stayed until after lunch on Sunday.
Time was spent sewing, visiting and eating all the good food brought by Guild members.
